Another important milestone: construction of Receiving Sub Station started for Delhi – Ghaziabad – Meerut corridor

NCRTC is constructing five power Receiving Sub-Stations (RSS) for Delhi-Ghaziabad-Meerut RRTS Corridor.

NCRTC is constructing five power Receiving Sub-Stations (RSS) for Delhi-Ghaziabad-Meerut RRTS Corridor. First of them is coming at Murad Nagar, the construction of which has commenced today in presence of Shri Vinay Kumar Singh, MD, NCRTC. IRCON International Ltd is constructing the RSS which is targeted for commissioning in 12 months to ensure timely commissioning of Priority Section of first RRTS corridor.

The RSS will draw power from Murad Nagar grid of UPPTCL and supply power to Duhai Depot and RRTS section between Guldhar and Meerut South. As part of its endeavor towards Aatmanirbhar Bharat, majority of components of the RSS will be procured domestically.

The power sub-station will be built using the latest Indoor GIS (Gas Insulated Switchgear) technology in compliance with IGBC highest rating for the control building.
