On the occasion of International Women’s Day 2022, NCRTC organized an interactive session for its women employees with Ms. Prakashi Tomar, Indian Sharpshooter, known as ‘Shooter Dadi’ and Ms. Shweta Sharma, International Para Athlete.
NCRTC women workforce have taken up challenging responsibilities, ranging from construction works in field, technological innovations, and project management, among others, for implementation of this new-age mobility solution.
During the event, Shri Vinay Kumar Singh, MD, NCRTC, said that he was pleased to witness that we have been able to create a safe and healthy work environment for women and a gender sensitive workforce at our offices and construction sites. With its best-in-class service offerings, robust security systems, and a dedicated coach for women, RRTS will bring a transformational change in the lives of women using public transport in the region.
Ms. Tomar overcame numerous obstacles in life including biases based on gender, age, caste & patriarchy. At an age when most people give up on fulfilling their dreams, she not only displayed indomitable courage but with her actions & words inspired millions across the world.
Ms. Shweta Sharma is yet another shining example of the fact that there is no limit to what a woman can achieve once she realizes her inherent strength. She took momentous challenges in life head-on and made the country proud on the international stage with her grit and determination.
Both these achievers further motivated NCRTC workforce to follow their passion and continue to put in efforts to move past one milestone after another, in their personal and professional journey.
