Shri Vinay Kumar Singh, MD, NCRTC, spoke during a panel discussion on ‘Road map for urban rail systems in India’ held as part of the “UITP Urban Rail Seminar 2023: Success stories of India and Southeast Asia”, in New Delhi.
Shri Singh touched upon various key aspects of the transformational RRTS project like steps taken to keep the project on schedule despite the pandemic, use of advanced technological solutions, multi-modal-integration, and initiatives being taken for financial sustainability of such highly capital-intensive projects. The other panellists for this session included Mr M A Siddique, MD, Chennai Metro Rai Ltd; Mr Sudhir Chiplunkar, COO, L&T Metro Rail Hyderabad; and Ms Divya Hosur, Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation.
The seminar witnessed representation from all metros in India, and many metros of South and Southeast Asia. Metro operators, financing institutions, ministries involved in Urban Rail landscape of India, and other industry players were part of the Conference and Exhibition.
