Another UPPTCL Electrical High Tension line of 220 KV, double circuit at Sahibabad – Muradnagar near Arthala (Ghaziabad) has been shifted. Shifting of this line was very critical, given the presence of double track crossing of Indian Railways’ line. This was a sensitive area for shifting of the live conductors. The NCRTC team carried out the shifting and modification work with utmost precision and planning which is a feat in itself. With this, a total of 17 lines have been shifted. Till date, NCRTC has been executing utility diversion work along the Delhi-Ghaziabad-Meerut RRTS alignment in a planned manner, facilitating execution of the project in a time-bound manner.
The civil construction work on the Delhi-Ghaziabad-Meerut Corridor is in full swing. The 17-km long priority section between Duhai and Sahibabad is scheduled to start operations by March 2023. The full corridor is expected to be open for the public by March 2025.
