NCRTC won at the 4th edition of the prestigious TAI Tunnelling Awards 2023, organized by the Tunnelling Association of India on 22nd November 2023. NCRTC team was awarded under the “Environmental Initiatives of Tunnelling” category. These awards celebrate the most ambitious underground projects in India as well as the latest innovations, techniques, and methods in tunnelling.
Ms. Nimisha Singh, Executive Engineer (Civil), NCRTC, was also awarded with the “Young Tunneller of the Year” award. Ms. Singh has been a crucial part of NCRTC’s tunnelling team, helped overcome the challenges encountered during the tunnelling process, and has shown commitment to use new methods to achieve project targets.
The comprehensive, benchmarked, and community-oriented approach to environmental sustainability in tunnelling for the RRTS project made it a standout candidate for such recognition and awards. With the RRTS project, NCRTC is promoting sustainable and eco-friendly practices in the industry and setting the benchmarks for such highly complex transit infrastructure projects.
