MD inspects construction sites

Shri Vinay Kumar Singh, Managing Director, NCRTC, along with other senior officials inspected the ongoing construction works on Delhi-Ghaziabad-Meerut RRTS Corridor. The Managing Director took stock of the construction works from Duhai to Modipuram. MD discussed various aspects including safety and quality with the engineers. He was briefed about the various measures being taken to […]

Energy Efficiency

RRTS trains have push buttons for selective opening of doors. This eliminates the opening of all doors at every station, thus leading to energy saving. RRTS trainsets, named Namo Bharat, also have state-of-the-art Regenerative Braking System which converts the train’s kinetic energy into electrical energy.

Platform Screen Doors – NCRTC

Platform Screen Doors (PSDs) are being used to isolate the platforms from the track. PSDs open only when the train stops at the correct position. The use of PSDs helps to prevent accidents, objects falling on track, and trespassing. PSDs are synchronously controlled throughout the length of the platform. PSDs which are on the platform […]

Automatic Fare Collection

ticket-system

NCRTC has adopted Automatic Fare Collection (AFC) system for Delhi- Ghaziabad- Meerut RRTS corridor. AFC offers QR Code based ticketing (Digital QR & Paper QR). Each Ticket Vending Machine (TVM) is equipped with a credit/debit/pre-paid card reader compliant with RuPay standard for non-cash payment of transactions. This will ensure a contactless entry/exit that will be […]

Integrated Real-Time Enterprise Asset Management System

The RRTS project is asset intensive and hence, management and maintenance of its assets through well-defined and coordinated processes plays a key role in the success of the project. NCRTC is implementing an Integrated Real-Time Enterprise Asset Management System (iDREAMS) which would ingest real-time data from different sources and other subsystems such as BIM, GIS, […]

ETCS L2 Signalling

tower

For India’s first RRTS, NCRTC has implemented European Train Control System (ETCS) Level 2 which includes Automatic Train Protection (ATP), Automatic Train Operation (ATO), and Automatic Train Supervision (ATS) sub-systems using radio communication between track side and train. ETCS Level 2 signaling is being used for the first time in India, which involves continuous supervision […]

CORS Technology

cors

Continuously Operating Reference Station NCRTC is using Continuously Operating Reference Station (CORS) network with multiple Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) base stations which are located at stable locations. These stations operate 24 X 7 at a distance of 5 to 10 km along the corridor, which eliminates dependence on distance, ionospheric & manual errors in […]

CDE

CDE

Common Data Environment NCRTC planned to maintain common repository of all construction and pre-construction drawings and technical documents in digital format at a centralized repository, so as to enable fast retrieval of these documents as and when required from anywhere. For this purpose, NCRTC uses an indigenously developed “Common Data Environment (CDE)” – a central […]

Building Information Modelling

bim

Combining multiple disciplines BIM (Building Information Modelling) is an intelligent 3D model-based process that provides architecture, engineering, and construction professionals the insights & tools to more effectively plan, design, construct, and manage buildings & infrastructure. All components are modelled in 3D with the help of various BIM software and a single database (BIM model) combines […]
