The Hon’ble Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, inaugurated the balance sections of the Delhi-Meerut Namo Bharat corridor, Sarai Kale Khan to New Ashok Nagar and Meerut South to Modipuram, and the Meerut Metro from Meerut, describing the project as a new surge of energy for a ‘Viksit Uttar Pradesh’ and a ‘Viksit Bharat’. This event marks the first time in India that both a rapid rail and a metro service will operate on the same infrastructure.
