Shri Vinay Kumar Singh, MD, NCRTC, delivered the Keynote Address on ‘Multi Modal Integration for Transport Network’ at the Seminar organized by the Consulting Engineers Association of India (CEAI) on 27th May 2022 at New Delhi.
The inaugural address at the event was delivered by Shri Amrit Lal Meena, IAS, Secretary Logistics, Dept. of Logistics, Ministry of Commerce, who gave an overview of the policy perspective on the government’s focus on multi-modal integration. Following the inaugural address, Shri Singh shared example from the RRTS project implementation and how it is a true manifestation of Hon’ble Prime Minister’s vision of GatiShakti National Masterplan.
Shri Singh added, ‘Public servants like me will come and go, even public authorities will change but these capital-intensive projects will serve the public for 50-100 years, therefore it is imperative to give due focus on long-term relevance of these projects by initiatives like efficient multi-modal-integration”.
The conference was attended by several eminent speakers from the Transport, Engineering, Construction, and Architectural industry who also spoke about the future of the industry and how the development of modern infrastructure through planning, implementation, and monitoring, will play a key role in giving shape to a ‘New India’.
