The Hon’ble Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, inaugurated the 13-km additional section of the Delhi-Ghaziabad-Meerut Namo Bharat corridor between Sahibabad and New Ashok Nagar. With this inauguration, the operational stretch of the Namo Bharat Corridor expands to 55 km, with a total of 11 stations.
The Prime Minister took a ride on the Namo Bharat train from the Sahibabad station to the newly opened New Ashok Nagar station in Delhi. During the journey, the Prime Minister interacted with various set travellers, showcasing the diverse social impact of the corridor. The Hon’ble Prime Minister also flagged off the Namo Bharat trains from Rohini to commence operations on this section.
