Road safety week

India loses around 3-5% of its GDP to road accidents every year. In 2018, India had reported 4,67,044 road accidents incidents. With only 1% of the world’s vehicles, India accounts
for 6% of the world’s road traffic accidents. As a responsible organisation, NCRTC is taking various steps to create awareness about road safety during construction of RRTS Project. Recently, in collaboration with its construction partner M/s APCO, it observed
Road Safety Week from 11th January to 17th January 2020 under the theme of “Bring change through youth power”. Apart from posters, banners, and various awareness drives, an awareness training programme at the Institute of Advanced Management and Research (IAMR) College in Ghaziabad was also conducted, which saw active participation of Students and the Faculty.
