Specially-abled people experience RRTS

On World Disability Day, a group of specially-abled people visited the Sahibabad RRTS station and took a round trip from Sahibabad RRTS Station to Duhai RRTS Station on Namo Bharat Train. NCRTC also hosted an awareness program for them, during which participants were informed about the RRTS’s features and the numerous provisions in place to ensure the RRTS is accessible to everyone.

The awareness program was conducted under the aegis of the Japan Fund for Prosperous and Resilient Asia and the Pacific (JFPR) initiative provided to NCRTC in conjunction with an ADB loan for the Delhi-Ghaziabad-Meerut RRTS project.

The group of specially-abled consisted of individuals of various ages, with the majority being children. They enjoyed the whole experience and were very appreciative of the universal accessibility of the RRTS. During the awareness program, children shared their joyful experiences of the visit, they especially enjoyed the ride on the Namo Bharat Train and were amazed by its speed and comfortable commute. They lauded NCRTC for its commitment to providing an all-inclusive, universally accessible, safe, and comfortable commuter system.
