Shri Urjit R. Patel, Vice President, Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB), along with Shri Vinay Kumar Singh, Managing Director, NCRTC, visited some of the important sites, in the Delhi section, of the Delhi-Ghaziabad-Meerut RRTS corridor. AIIB is one of the multilateral funding agencies for the country’s first RRTS corridor.
Team NCRTC gave him an overview of the Sarai Kale Khan RRTS Station, where all the three corridors of RRTS Phase 1 will converge and be interoperable. Shri Patel also took note of various activities like working of Tunnel Boring Machines (सुदर्शन) and implementation of Multi-Modal-Integration scheme at Anand Vihar RRTS Station. Further, he visited the Casting Yard and got an overview of pre-casting of segments for the underground sections of the RRTS corridor.
Shri Patel interacted with the on-ground engineers and acknowledged the quality work being done and fast pace of construction progress. He also appreciated the adoption of various new-age technologies for the implementation of this transformative project.
