Visit of UK FCDO delegation

A delegation of officials from UK Foreign & Commonwealth Development Office (FCDO) visited NCRTC’s corporate office GatiShakti Bhawan and held discussions with the Managing Director and Directors of NCRTC. The UK FCDO manages the Urban Climate Change Resilience Trust Fund (UCCRTF) which had given Technical Assistance grant of USD 2.89 Million for consultancy, equipment, and works covering a range of activities related to climate change resilience planning and project development in the Delhi-Meerut RRTS project.  

The delegation also visited project sites at Anand Vihar and Duhai Depot. The delegation appreciated the progress of activities undertaken by NCRTC to incorporate environment-friendly and sustainable designs in the project. FCDO officials extended their continued support and assistance to NCRTC for measures which further the objectives of climate change resilience and risk mitigation. The FCDO delegation was accompanied by climate change/ urban development specialists from Asian Development Bank (ADB), which is administering the Technical Assistance Grant from UCCRTF.
